Chai Spiced Tea in a Percolator
When I learned that Rooibos Tea has 50 times more antioxidants than green tea, my heart skipped a beat. Could consuming healthy drinks actually taste good? It turns out that this naturally sweet tea comes in many flavors, including chai spice. Can I turn this into an addictive habit, like coffee without the bellyaches or soda without the guilt? Many types of tea excite me, but this morning represented my first attempt at using a coffee percolator to make them. I'm pleased to report that the percolator makes all the difference in the world, and it's so easy to transfer to the fridge. I no longer have to pour hot kettle water into a plastic pitcher and worry about the toxins from the plastic seeping into my drinks. The percolator can move from a searing hot environment to a cold environment with no chance of breaking, which makes it far superior to a glass pitcher for tea making.
